Autumn is almost upon us.

Fall is almost here!

I love Fall.
With the exception of Christmas, it's my favorite time of the year.

I made this banner for a fellow Cricut MB sister for our Magnolia Swap.

She wanted a Fall/Autumn theme banner.

This is what I came up with.

I used the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge from Close to My Heart to cut out the Pennant and the scalloped top border. The Chipboard Letters are also from AP as are the doilies behind the Letter. The papers are from Recollection All Season Paper Pack. and the Flowers are my own.

This magnolia Tilda Stamp is from the Crazy Love Collection.  I colored her with watercolor pencils and she is sitting on a barrel cut from PDDU and the the basket of apples is also from PDDU. The apples are Kawaii Miniature Polymere clay from Kawaii Supply. I've gotten WONDERFUL service from them.

This Magnolia Tilda is called Shy Tilda. I also colored her with watercolor pencils. She is sitting on a stamped bench and the leaves and acorn are cricut cuts. The Acorns have liquid applique on top, I used a heat gun to make it bubble and give it that rough look. I then used Distressing Markers to give it the brown look.

This Magnolia Tilda, I can't quite remember what collection or her name. She was also colored with Watercolor pencils and I cut a couple of pumpkins for her to sit on. Her bag and Spider are also cut from the Cricut.

This Scarecrow Tilda has a couple of haystacks that were cut from Wild West Cartridge.

Princess Tilda is holding a banner cut from the AP cartridge at 1/2 inch.

Native American Tilda has a Cornucopia from Celebrate with Flourish and fruits from PDDU.

I really hope my CMB sister likes her banner as much as I liked making it for her.

Thanks for looking

Crayon Fun!

I have today a quick project that I finished last night.

So, My oldest son is starting kindergarten on Monday. He is super excited! I on the other hand am so anxious, nervous and on the verge of a breakdown. This is school School. Not Learning Center/Daycare/School.

He's going to have to go to the potty by himself across the hall. He's going to have to go to the cafeteria and get his own lunch. He's going to have to make new friends. I'm going to have to drop him off on the side entrance, not straight to his room. I am a MESS. My hubby on the other hand thinks I'm overreacting. *SIGH*

So, to welcome the new school year and start off the year on the right foot, I made a Crayon Wreath for the Teacher. I saw these on Etsy and Pintrest and thought it was a fantastic idea. It's small, about 10"-11" in diameter, the size of a small pizza.

What do you think?

Thanks for looking!

UPDATE: We gave it to her on the first day of school and she liked it! She put it up. ;-)

Flower Update

I'm sorry to report that I had to remove the tutorials for the flower series.
I was informed that there was misuse of them with out my expressed permission.

I apologize for any inconvenience.

I will post at a later date how and where you can get the KIT to make them yourself.
This kit will include the Flower Making Foam, Sponge, Pic and Die Cuts of the Flower you choose.

Please email me or comment if you have any questions.

I am working on a couple of more flower tutorials that will be specific for my blog.

Thanks again!

Charging on...

For today's project, I'm going to show you an altered charger plate I did for a recent swap.
It's a normal run of the mill charger that I got on a four pack from Big Lots.
My partner wanted a vintage feel to the plate since I was to include a picture of her grandparents on their wedding day. I was more than honored to do this for her. I love vintage pictures!

I started with my charger plate. I primed it by sanding it all over. I then used my beloved Mod Podge to give it one coat. I let it dry.

I then coated it with Mod Podge again on the rim of the plate. This was for the lacy ribbon I started adhering to it. I added more Mod Podge to the center of the plate to attach the second plate.

You can see here the raised middle plate added more dimension to the charger plate.

I then added the picture and rounded it off with my handmade paper flowers and various other charms and items. These were to personalize the plate and give it an essence of her grandparents.

And here is the finished plate.
