I needed a Challenge....

So I have been trying to Scrapbook more often, since most of my projects have been Home Decor.

But, to be honest, I have been in a rut.

My Scrapbook Layout creativity had been missing and I really needed to look for it.

I really enjoyed the Ticket Challenge over on the Trendy Twine Blog so I decided to look around and...

I found a Challenge I liked!!

Dr. Phil Scraps Had a Sketch Challenge that looked very promising.

The challenge was to use this Sketch

So off I went to my **ahem** "Craftroom" **ahem** to start creating.

I wanted to use the "For Always" Paper Pack from Close to My Heart (CTMH) since it has that Retro/Vintage Feel. I had an Idea floating in my head and this was perfect.

I started with the Cricut Cartridge ARTISTE by CTMH. Using my Gypsy (CCR) I manipulated a 2 Rectangles into a Cutout of a Polaroid on White Daisy Cardstock from CTMH. You can't really see it but I also cut out a view reel wheel that I made from a Circle and rounded squares and two triangles. It's in the upper right hand corner. I made it on the Gypsy as well and it was 11 inches all around.

I then Made a slight bigger Rectangle in Black Cardstock to Mat the Polaroid cutout.

My go to embellishment right now is Trendy Twine. I used Black Licorice and tied them around the base of the Polaroids.

Next I used The Cranberry Ribbon from Close to my heart  on the middle of the left side of the Layout. The base is Slate Cardstock and the bottom 4 inches is the Patterned paper from the Paper Pack. You can see at the upper left/center I have used the fabric pack also from CTMH "For Always" I made three banners.

For the Title and Journaling, I also used Artiste Cricut Cartridge. I cut out the letters in White Daisy Cardstock and used The Stamp set Universal Background Flair from CTMH to stamp the letters. I used the Script Block. For the Journaling, I used CTMH Stamp Set called Comments.

Using Liquid Glass, I covered the letters of the Title for a little bit of dimension.

For the Other part of the Title, I cut it out from CTMH ARTISTE and used VersaMark ink to cover the diecut and covered it with CTMH Silver Embossing Powder.

On top of the Fabric banners I placed my Handmade flower. This was cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge Rose Flower, Three layers. The Center is the Quilable flower also on the same Cartridge as was the leaf.

On the other side of the Layout, I used The sentiment from CTMH Stamp Set Family Tree. The Ribbon Stamps and Center Circle are from the CTMH Stamp Sets included with Artiste. They were stamped in Black Ruby and Slate.

And here is the completed Layout.

Thanks for Looking!
